Clik here to view.U2 will release Artificial Horizon, a limited edition remix album containing some previously unreleased songs, according to CHARTattack.com.
The album will be released in 2010, and will be available to those in the band’s official fan club. The band’s website says that the album will be “mailed to qualifying subscribers” beginning in late January. No official tracklist has been announced, but the 13-song CD includes David Holmes’ remix of “Beautiful Day,” a Grand Jury mix of “If God Will Send His Angels,” Jacknife Lee’s remix of “Fast Cars,” Trent Reznor’s mix of “Vertigo,” and Fish Out Of Water’s remix of “Get On Your Boots.”
This isn’t the first time the rock band has released albums exclusively to their fan club. In 2006 they released ZOO2Live, and in 2008 they released Medium, Rare and Remastered.
U2 is hitting the road again in 2010 with another North American tour in support of No Line On The Horizon, starting on June 6 in Anaheim, Calif.
In other news, U2 bassist Adam Clayton is suing his former personal assistant, accusing her of stealing approximately 1.6 million Euros, which translates to about $2.7 million Canadian, from his accounts. Clayton has reportedly secured a temporary court order which froze Carol Hawkins’ assets, alleging the ex-assistant spent the money on jewelry, expensive cars, and a New York apartment. Clayton fired Hawkins last month.
